The Great Steubenville Eggsibition Returns to Downtown Steubenville in 2026

Spring has brought one of downtown Steubenville’s more distinctive traditions back to the district.

The Great Steubenville Eggsibition is running March 20 through May 3, 2026, with more than 40 giant Easter eggs designed and painted by more than 20 local artists and placed throughout downtown businesses for a free, walkable Easter-season activity. The event is presented by the Steubenville Cultural Trust and promoted through the broader Steubenville Nutcracker Village platform.

For anyone planning a visit, the format is simple. Visitors can pick up a map at Steubenville Popcorn Co., 157 N. 4th Street, or download one online, then follow the route through downtown to find the eggs. According to the event page, all of the eggs are within walking distance of one another except for one located at the downtown library.

The event’s public pages have also been actively posting 2026 updates, including reminders about the March 20 opening date, artist features, classes, and spring promotions tied to downtown stops such as Leonardo’s Coffeehouse.

For downtown businesses, the Eggsibition adds another seasonal reason for people to spend time in the district, walk from storefront to storefront, and see what is open along the way.
